We are all in this together! In these uncertain times we want to find creative ways to connect with those we love. We want empower others to know the relevant information to the developing pandemic. We want to lean into the discomfort and walk in wisdom during these time. In the middle of the stress we believe that we can still love ourselves, partners, families, communities, and world well through our actions.

 

Self-care Podcast


The Un//Boxed team shared with us important notes on self-care. In this time of stress during the COVID-19.


We encourage people to use good self-care techniques in the middle of social distancing or in quarantine. Managing the stress is essential for individuals, families, and communities. It starts with one.

  • Eat, sleep, exercise, and drink water normally, good hygiene (wash hands)

  • Stay connected with your people (virtually, calling on the phones, etc)

  • Manage stress in healthy ways (Mindfulness, etc.)

We want to help the children and teens that are navigating this time with us. Children and teens need to be reassured in age appropriate ways.

  • Acknowledge their fears.

  • Limit the amount TV and social media

  • Engage in activities that can help your child/teen feel empowered.

  • Don’t share drinks, makeup, or other personal items

  • Teach them about social distancing
